Micro Review: District 9 (2009)

District 9 is easily one of the best science fiction films released in the 2000s. I cannot overstate how much I appreciate that this film made its aliens feel genuinely alien. The film makes the viewers care about the "prawns" through the storytelling, rather than making them as clean and relatable as possible (as many films using aliens as metaphors do).

It's one of my all-time favorite movies, and one that I will probably discuss more in the future on this blog.
